I was born in Warwick , but moved to Barnsley when I married in 1988. We have two children , who now both attend The Kingstone School , Catherine in 10O and now Jessica in 7K.
As I now work with my husband at our fabrication company and have two children , interests are mostly based around their activities , but any spare time is spent reading , gardening and meeting with friends.
I would like to join the governing body to become part of dedicated team , working towards the needs of ALL children in a large Secondary School. With the challenges that exist , be able to input my own views , as the parent of children within the school.
I was a Parent Governor for four years at Wilthorpe Infant School and have been an active member of the P.T.A. at Wilthorpe Junior School for six years , until July of this year. I found these meetings invaluable to improve my understanding of the normal day-to-day procedures , to run a school smoothly and efficiently. |
