Kingstone School Governors

Elaine Charlesworth

Back to Governors

Type of Governor: Parent

Time on board: Since 2006

Why did you become a Governor?

I became a governor because I wanted to represent the views of parents who have children at Kingstone. I also wanted to feel more informed about the running of the school and to have a greater understanding of how and why decisions are made and the way these decisions affect the welfare of our children and their life at Kingstone.

What is good about Kingstone?

Kingstone offers each child the opportunity to fulfil their potential by offering a wide choice in the curriculum.
Kingstone cares a great deal about each individual child and does their best to support and help each child grow, develop and mature to enable them to move into the world outside secondary education.

What are your hopes for the future of Kingstone?

I hope Kingstone continues with the excellent work which they are recognised for. I also hope they are allowed enhance the exciting and creative opportunities they offer to all children who attend in the future. Also to share their initiatives with other areas of the country as I think they are great ambassadors of the educational system in today’s society.
