Jane Hewitt/Elaine Millard - 'Assessment for Living: a way of assessing creativity' |
'What more is there more to assessment than ascribing levels? At the end of a wonderfully creative year is it appropriate to provide the student and parents with the information -You are a level 5b and you target of 5a; even if we do follow this up with a detailed plan of what to do next?' |
Chris Ellis/Ondrie Mann - 'Thematic Teaching and Learning' |
Debbie Kidd - 'Seeing Anew - Planning for Creative Learning' |
| |
What is a creative lesson? How do we know that we are teaching for creativity and not simply teaching creatively? How do we model creative skills yet manage spaces in place and time to allow others' skills to flourish? And what do we do about behaviour? What if the most creative kid is the one you just sent to isolation? This workshop explores these questions and more and aims to help us to see our classrooms and the people in them anew.
Debra Kidd is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Manchester Metropolitan University and Director of Integrate Education. |
