'Inspiring and Empowering'

Kingstone School continues to be a very successful school.  Having been judged by OfSTED as ‘Good with distinctive strengths’ during the last academic year, the school remains committed to delivering the very best in terms of its provision for our pupils, their families and the wider school community.

Following the appointment of Mr Milburn to the position of Headteacher at Saddleworth School, Kingstone is now under the leadership of Joint Headteachers Mr Ellam and
Mr Gallagher, both of whom had previously held the positions of Deputy Headteachers at Kingstone.  Their combined experience and absolute commitment to the school, together with an equally dedicated team of teaching and support staff, puts Kingstone in a strong position as the school enters its final year prior to the opening of the new Advanced Learning Centre in September 2012.

This is an exciting time in the life of the school and our School Improvement Plan.  Over the next 12 months, whilst recognising the need to ensure the highest levels of pupil achievement for all pupils in our care, we look to celebrate the many traditions that have been at the heart of the school’s development since its inception in 1987.  Our aim is to make this year the best yet in terms of pupil achievement and to make sure that, by ‘keeping the flame burning’, we celebrate the last year of school in style through a range of curriculum projects and community events.
