Heads Message

Kingstone is a calm school where relations between adults and children are courteous and invariably positive. The school was judged as “Good with significant strengths” byOfSTED in June 2007 with English andPersonal Development and Well Being graded as “Outstanding.”   The school is a genuine comprehensive, oversubscribed with a wide range of extended provision for the community including an onsite nursery. We have worked hard to enable a very positive trend of GCSE results (65% 5 A* to C, 2009).

Barnsley School Dance Competition
Kingstone pupils gained 1st, 2nd and 3rd in Barnsley Schools Dance Competition!!

Visitors from Denmark
Claus Balsvig was in school last week planning a visit with 24 Danish students aged 15 and 16. The visit will take place between the 15th and 19th April.

School Choir
School choir rehearsals will begin after half term. Monday evenings 3pm-4pm. All year groups welcome there are no auditions and you won't have to sing alone.

Sports Relief
Sports Relief Friday 19 March 2010. The PE department will be doing the mile in lessons on Friday and there will be opportunity for anyone in the School Community to do the mile at lunch time in the Sports Hall. Sports Relief Socks will be on sale for £1.00 athe the Sports Hall Reception at morning and lunch break times only.
